Tournament favorite Dean Kobane (Livonia, MI) outclassed all others to win the inaugural TPC.

Kobane’s opening rounds of 72-72 afforded him an 11 shot lead entering the final round, one he wouldn’t relinquish.

Eventual runner-up Andy Kurncz (Dearborn, MI) closed the gap to one on the back nine, but could get no closer.

“To be idle is a short road to death and to be diligent is a way of life; foolish people are idle, wise people are diligent,” proclaimed an exhausted Kobane.

The others finishing in the top five were 3rd Karl Nagy (Livonia, MI), 4th Chip VanLooy (Farmington, MI) and 5th Kurt Goetzke (Canton, MI).
